Originally taken near a Lighthouse and windmill in Lower Normandy The Roundscape here is of the landscape around Gatteville le Phare a coastal point situated on the North coast of the Cotentin.
The Roundscapes I photograph are usually of historical of mythological landscapes using a variety of techniques and cameras to create a symbolic image of a time and place.
I have to imagine what would make a good Roundscape when I look at landscape because these are hard to pre visualise. Technology can be very useful if the artist trusts the machinery enough and allows the camera to control the filtering.
These prints are created individually and made at the studio. They are printed using high quality photographic paper and framed.
